Momentum for data-informed decision making is growing at West 天涯社区 College as the campus continues to align around shared goals and measurable outcomes in support of student success.
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research, led by Dean Shusaku Horibe, is advancing this work through the use of OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), a goal-setting framework that strengthens planning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
鈥淥KRs are helping us build a stronger culture of planning and accountability鈥攐ne where we set measurable goals aligned to our mission and use evidence consistently to drive continuous improvement,鈥 said Horibe.
To further this momentum, Horibe and his team will lead a two-day Data Summit this summer, bringing campus stakeholders together to deepen engagement with data and strengthen alignment across units.
Sessions are expected to focus on integrating OKRs into strategic and unit-level planning, along with exploring tools such as the Silicon 天涯社区 Index and College Excellence Indicators to better understand and track student success outcomes.
